Available to lay persons as well as ordained, Milarepa Center welcomes both new and serious Dharma students who follow practice guidelines in accordance with the teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

In order to protect all those here in retreat, it is of the utmost importance that students meet some basic requirements before entering into private retreat.

 

Preference is given to students who have attended previous courses/retreats and who also have a qualified teacher in which they are following practice advice from. Applicants wishing to do longer term retreat should have established relationships with authentic teachers and/or recognized lineage holders.

Retreat applicants are required to complete an application and phone interview with our office before booking a private retreat.

OUR AFFILIATION

Milarepa Center is affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition, also known as the FPMT. This means that our Center follows the spiritual direction of Lama Zopa Rinpoche and uses FPMT’s educational programs and materials, as well as registered FPMT spiritual teachers for programs and is created in the lineage of Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche. Each FPMT center is a individually incorporated 501c3 non-profit legal entity and is responsible for its own governance and finance.
